If you work with any type of inline fitting – such as a brake line, fuel line, or any other type of cable
If the heart of an automobile is the engine, the heart of the engine is the oil pump, pumping engine oil to lubricate moving parts, remove waste heat, and drive hydraulics. On many older vehicles, an oil pressure gauge in the instrument cluster gave a visual indication of actual oil pressure, typically reaching 50 to 60 psi. Most modern vehicles, however, have eliminated the oil pressure gauge, replacing it with a simple low oil pressure warning light, which illuminates when oil pressure drops below 5 to 7 psi.

An airbag or supplemental restraint system (SRS) is a safety device designed for vehicles. It is intended to keep the driver and front passenger restrained in the event of an accident.

There are a variety of different warning lights on a vehicle’s dashboard. Most people will only see them light up if there is a particular problem with their vehicle that is indicated by that light.

The era of having crank windows in automobiles is long gone. Almost all new vehicles manufactured today contain power windows. These are essentially electric windows that require electrical power to function properly.

Ground straps, also called ground wires or engine ground cables, perform an essential function in your vehicle. If there’s an electrical surge or short circuit in the engine, it diverts the excess electricity.

The ECU is the engine control unit of your vehicle. It is also often called PCM (powertrain control module) or ECM (engine control module).

The fuel pressure regulator is a component found in a vehicle’s internal combustion engine. The job of the fuel pressure regulator is just as it sounds. It regulates the fuel pressure of the engine system by changing the pressure whenever necessary.
The internal combustion process involves mixing gasoline and air inside the engine cylinders. This is called engine compression. Each engine cylinder must have the correct amount of compression if the combustion process is to proceed properly.
