  • Check engine light on (or engine maintenance warning light soon)

What does code P1307 mean?

The chassis acceleration sensor (rough road) consists of a piezoelectric vibration sensor that detects the vehicle’s vertical acceleration. The sensor signal is used by the ECM to determine the degree of vertical movement of the car, for example on a bumpy road. Since this can also cause irregular engine operation, the ECM uses the signal to distinguish this phenomenon from actual misfires.
