Perform the replacement in the following order:

Step 1Open the hood. -
Step 2Use a fender protection cover to avoid damaging the car’s paint and plastic parts. -
Step 3Remove the engine cover.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: serpentine belt – Mercedes W203. Do not use excessive force when removing the part as it could damage it. -
Step 4Remove the air intake hoses. -
Step 5Move the V-belt tensioner pulley aside. Use a 16 mm combination wrench. -
Step 6Remove the V-ribbed belt.Replacement: serpentine belt – Mercedes W203. AUTODOC recommends:Check the condition of the tensioner pulley and the idler pulley. Replace them if necessary. -
Step 7Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position.Step 8Install the V-ribbed belt.Replacement: serpentine belt – Mercedes W203. AUTODOC tip:Make sure the V-belt fits perfectly on all pulleys. -
Step 9Move the V-belt tensioner pulley aside. Use a 16 mm combination wrench. -
Step 10Place the V-belt on the tensioner pulley. -
Step 11Return the tensioner pulley to its initial position. Use a 16 mm combination wrench.
