P2787 Possible Causes

  • Faulty clutch temperature sensor
  • Clutch temperature sensor harness is open or shorted
  • Poor electrical connection in the clutch temperature sensor circuit

Check the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

P2787 Meaning

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors clutch temperature. The TCM sets the OBDII code when the clutch temperature is outside factory specifications.
