P2757 – Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit Performance

Posted by

P2757 Possible Causes

  • Dirty transmission fluid
  • Faulty SLU line pressure solenoid valve
  • SLU line pressure solenoid harness is open or shorted
  • SLU line pressure solenoid circuit poor electrical connection
  • Torque converter clutch
  • Valve body is stuck

How to Fix Code P2757

Check the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

Possible Symptoms

Engine light on (or service engine soon warning light)

P2757 Meaning

The torque converter clutch solenoid valve is activated, with the gear in D4, by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent by the vehicle speed and the Engine Control Module (ECM). The lock-up piston operation will then be controlled. When the torque converter clutch solenoid valve is activated, the torque converter lock-up clutch engages by creating a 1:1 rpm ratio between the transmission input shaft and the torque converter rotational speed.

However, lock-up is prohibited when the A/T fluid temperature is too low.

When the accelerator pedal is pressed (less than 2/8) under lock-up condition, the engine speed should not change abruptly. If there is a large jump in engine speed, there is no lock-up.
