Start by checking the “possible causes” listed above. Visually inspect the corresponding wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

What Does It Mean?

The MAF sensor circuit is monitored by the PCM for a sudden change in voltage input (or air flow) via the comprehensive component monitor (CCM). If, during the last 40 key-on engine warm-up cycles, the PCM detects a voltage (or air flow) change beyond the minimum or maximum calibrated limit, a continuous diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.

The engine control module (ECM) detected a mass air flow (MAF) sensor signal higher or lower than the calibrated limit
