P1032 Possible Causes
- Faulty Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor 1, Bank 1
- Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor 1 Harness is Open or Shorted
- Poor Electrical Connection in Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor 1 Circuit
How is Code P1032 Repaired?
Begin by checking the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the wiring harness and related connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.
When is the Code Detected?
The current amperage in the Heated Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 heater circuit is outside the normal range. An excessively high voltage signal is sent to the Engine Control Module (ECM) through the Heated Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 heater.
Possible Symptoms
Illuminated Engine Light (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
P1032 Meaning
The Engine Control Module (ECM) performs ON/OFF service control of the Air/Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 heater corresponding to the engine operating condition to maintain the A/F Sensor 1 element temperature within the specified range.
