B0019 PONTIAC – Passenger Front Deployment Loop Stage 1

Posted by

B0019 PONTIAC Possible Causes

  • Faulty passenger front module
  • Passenger front module harness is open or shorted
  • Poor electrical connection in passenger front module circuit
  • Faulty Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)

How to Fix B0019 PONTIAC Code?

Start by checking the “possible causes” listed above. Visually inspect the corresponding wiring harness and connectors. Look for damaged components and check for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

B0019 PONTIAC Meaning

During a side or frontal collision of sufficient force, the inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) will allow current to flow through the deployment loop to deploy an inflatable restraint module. There are 2 shorting bars used in the module connector that will short the high and low circuits together when the connector is disconnected. This will help prevent unwanted deployment of the inflatable module during service.
