B0002 JEEP Meaning
When powered, the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) sends a test current to the squibs to verify squib and wiring integrity. These circuits are maintained in a floating configuration at the ORC (neither connected to power nor ground) as protection against accidental deployment. Use the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) load tool kit to test and replace a suspected squib with a known good component. Using the SRS load tool adapter provides a test point as well as a method to open the shorting bar connections in the ORC harness connector.
