What are the possible causes of DTC P132B?
NOTE: The listed causes may not be a complete list of all potential issues and there could be other causes.
- Faulty turbocharger (TC)/supercharger (SC) boost control solenoid
- Turbocharger (TC)/supercharger (SC) boost control solenoid harness is open or shorted
- Poor electrical connection in turbocharger (TC)/supercharger (SC) boost control solenoid circuit
- Exhaust leaks
How to repair DTC P132B?
Check the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.
What are the possible symptoms of code P132B?
- Illuminated engine light (or service engine soon warning light)
What does code P132B mean?
The variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) is controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM). The PCM uses an exhaust pressure (EP) sensor to monitor pressure and adjust the VGT solenoid duty cycle. The VGT solenoid receives a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal from the PCM that controls the solenoid on/off time. The VGT solenoid directs oil to a piston located inside the actuator housing. The direction of oil flow to the piston increases or decreases exhaust pressure.
