Bad news for car enthusiasts and fans of the German brand. According to several sources, Volkswagen has reportedly decided to delay the launch of two of its most anticipated electric models. Among them is the highly sought-after ID.Golf, the zero-emission replacement for the iconic compact car.
Volkswagen ID.Golf and ID.Roc Postponed
The ID.Golf project, which is set to succeed the iconic Golf in the electric era, is officially on hold. It is not the only model affected by this strategic shift. The electric SUV ID.Roc, also highly anticipated by the market, may also see its launch delayed.
Arrival Not Expected Before 2030
As a direct consequence of these delays, the two models are now not expected to arrive until 2030. This additional time suggests a major strategic repositioning by the manufacturer, which may revise its development plans for the electrification of its lineup.
