Engine RPM/Vehicle Speed Limiter Indicates that the vehicle was used in a way that resulted in exceeding a calibration limit for the engine or vehicle. The engine speed and vehicle speed are continuously monitored by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The P1270 code is set when the RPM or speed goes out of the calibrated range.
