P1265 JEEP Meaning

Glow plugs are used to preheat the combustion chambers to reach the required ignition temperature for the air-fuel mixture.
The glow plug consists of a housing with a female thread and a tightly fitted rod. The heating element is integrated into the glow plug rod. It consists of a heating coil and a control coil connected in series.
When the glow plug system is activated, a current of approximately 30 amps flows to each glow plug. The heating coil heats the glow plug. The control coil increases its resistance as the temperature rises and limits the current to about 15-25 amps. This protects the glow plug from overloads.
