P1250 GMC Possible Causes

  • Faulty Early Fuel Evaporation (EFE) resistance
  • Early Fuel Evaporation (EFE) resistance harness is open or short-circuited
  • Poor electrical connection in the Early Fuel Evaporation (EFE) resistance circuit

How is GMC Code P1250 Repaired?

Start by checking the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the wiring harness and associated connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

P1250 GMC Meaning

With the engine running, BARO input greater than 75 kPa, Intake Air Temperature (IAT) input between 14 and 122 °F, fuel level above 25%, then the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detected that the Early Fuel Evaporation (EFE) resistance circuit voltage was below 2.5 V with the EFE heater off, or the circuit voltage was above 0.3 V with the EFE heater on for 5 seconds.
