P1237 Possible Causes
- Faulty Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM)
- Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) harness is open or shorted
- Poor electrical connection in the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) circuit
- Faulty fuel pump
How to Fix Code P1237?
Start by checking the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the corresponding wiring harness and connectors. Look for damaged components and check for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.
Possible Symptoms
- Engine light on (or engine service warning light soon)
P1237 Meaning
Fuel Pump Driver Modules (FPDM) control the fuel pump voltage to maintain proper fuel pressure throughout the engine’s operating range. Code P1237 indicates that the FPDM has detected a problem in the fuel pump secondary circuit. The FPDM sends a message to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) via the Fuel Pump Monitor (FPM) circuit indicating that this issue has been detected. The PCM sets the DTC when the message is received.
