Technical Notes
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the output of the low-speed fuel pump (LFP) primary circuit from the PCM. The test fails if: when the LFP circuit is activated (grounded), excessive current consumption is detected in the LFP circuit; or when the LFP circuit is deactivated, voltage is not detected in the LFP circuit (the PCM expects to detect VPWR voltage passing through the low-speed fuel pump relay coil to the LFP circuit).
