P1127 LEXUS – Malfunction in ECTS Actuator Power Supply Circuit

Posted by

P1127 LEXUS Possible Causes

  • Faulty Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) actuator
  • Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) actuator harness is open or short-circuited
  • Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) circuit Poor electrical connection of the actuator circuit

How to Fix P1127 LEXUS Code?

Start by checking the “possible causes” listed above. Visually inspect the corresponding cable harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

Possible Symptoms

  • Check Engine Light on (or Engine Warning Light soon on)

P1127 LEXUS Meaning

Battery positive voltage is supplied to the +BM terminal of the Engine Control Module (ECM) even once when the ignition switch is in OFF for the Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS) control system.
If the P1127 code is stored, the ECM cuts off power to the ETCS motor and magnetic clutch, and the ETCS valve is fully closed by the return spring.
However, the ETCS valve opening angle can be controlled by the accelerator pedal via the ETCS cable.
