P1126 NISSAN – Throttle Actuator Control Motor Relay Circuit Open
P1126 NISSAN Possible Causes
- Faulty throttle actuator control motor relay
- Throttle actuator control motor relay harness is open or shorted
- Poor electrical connection in the throttle actuator control motor relay circuit
How to Fix Code P1126 NISSAN?
Start by checking the “possible causes” listed above. Visually inspect the corresponding cable harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.
Technical Notes
When is the code detected?
The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that a voltage from the power supply for the throttle actuator control motor is excessively low.
Possible Symptoms
- Engine light on (or engine warning light soon on)
P1126 NISSAN Meaning
The power supply for the throttle actuator control motor is provided to the Engine Control Module (ECM) via the throttle actuator control motor relay. The throttle actuator control motor relay is ON/OFF controlled by the ECM. When the ignition switch is turned ON, the ECM sends an ON signal to the throttle actuator control motor relay and battery voltage is supplied to the ECM. When the ignition switch is OFF, the ECM sends an OFF signal to the throttle actuator control motor relay and battery voltage is not supplied to the ECM.
Throttle actuator control motor relay circuit open for Nissan vehicles other than 2000-2001 models
