Throttle control motor relay wiring harness is open or short-circuited
Poor electrical connection in throttle control motor relay circuit
How to Fix Code P1124?
Start by checking the “possible causes” listed above. Visually inspect the corresponding wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.
Possible Symptoms
Check engine light illuminated (or service engine soon warning light)
P1124 Meaning
The throttle control motor’s electrical power is supplied to the engine control module (ECM) through the throttle control motor relay. The throttle control motor relay is ON/OFF controlled by the ECM. When the ignition switch is turned ON, the ECM sends an ON signal to the throttle control motor relay and battery voltage is supplied to the ECM. When the ignition switch is OFF, the ECM sends an OFF signal to the throttle control motor relay and battery voltage is not supplied to the ECM.
