P1103 NISSAN – High Voltage MAP Sensor

Posted by

P1103 NISSAN Possible Causes

  • Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor harness is open or shorted
  • Poor electrical connection in Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor circuit
  • Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)

How to Fix P1103 NISSAN Code?

Begin by checking the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

Possible Symptoms

Check Engine Light On (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

P1103 NISSAN Meaning

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor provides instant manifold pressure information to the engine’s Engine Control Module (ECM). The data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine’s mass air flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel delivery for optimal combustion. A fuel-injected engine may also use a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor to detect intake air flow. A typical configuration uses one or the other, but rarely both. The MAP/BARO Switch Solenoid switches the air flow passage based on the voltage signal sent by the ECM.
