How to Fix Code P0BE0

Check the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

P0BE0 Possible Symptoms

Illuminated engine light (or service engine soon warning light)

P0BE0 Meaning

The HV control ECU uses a temperature sensor integrated into the inverter to detect the motor inverter temperature. The same cooling system that routes to MG1 and MG2 cools the inverter. This cooling system is independent of the engine cooling system.

The motor inverter temperature sensor characteristic is the same as the boost converter temperature sensor.

The HV control ECU limits the load based on signals from the motor inverter temperature sensor, to verify the effectiveness of the inverter cooling system and prevent the inverter from overheating. Additionally, the HV control ECU detects a malfunction in the motor drive temperature sensor wiring, as well as in the sensor itself.
