P0BDF Possible Symptoms
Engine warning light on (or service engine soon light)
P0BDF Meaning
The HV control ECU uses a temperature sensor integrated into the inverter to detect the motor inverter temperature. The same cooling system that is routed to MG1 and MG2 cools the inverter. This cooling system is independent of the engine cooling system.
The drive temperature sensor characteristic is the same as the boost converter temperature sensor.
The HV control ECU limits the load based on signals from the motor inverter temperature sensor to verify the effectiveness of the inverter cooling system and prevent inverter overheating. Additionally, the HV control ECU detects a malfunction in the wiring of the motor sensor temperature sensor, as well as in the sensor itself.
