P0A0D Toyota Description

When the Power Management Control ECU detects that a safety device is activated, it prohibits the hybrid system from operating or cuts off the main system relay. There are four safety devices in three different locations. The first safety device is located on the service plug handle. The second is located at the frame wire that is connected to the inverter with a converter. The third is located on the inverter terminal cover where the motor and generator cables and motor wire No. 2 (air conditioning harness) are connected to the inverter with a converter. If the service plug handle, inverter terminal cover, or frame wire is removed, the interlock signal line will be open. If the vehicle is driven, this condition will be determined as an open circuit and the main system relays will not close. If the safety devices are reinstalled correctly, the system will return to normal when the power switch is in the ON (IG) position.
