B0025 Meaning
During a side or frontal collision of sufficient force, the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) of the inflatable restraint system will allow current to flow through the deployment loop to deploy the right roof rail airbag. The SDM performs continuous diagnostic tests on the deployment loops to verify proper circuit continuity and check for shorts to ground or voltage. A shorting bar is used in the right roof rail airbag connector that shorts the high and low circuits together when the connector is disconnected. This helps prevent accidental deployment of the airbag during maintenance.
