B0020 SATURN Meaning
In a side or frontal collision of sufficient force, the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) will allow current to flow through the deployment loop to deploy an airbag or pretensioner. There are 2 shorting bars that will short the control circuits together when the connector is disconnected. This helps prevent accidental deployment of the airbag or pretensioner during maintenance.
