Possible Symptoms
- Airbag warning light illuminated
B0019 Meaning
During a side or frontal collision of sufficient force, the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) of the airbag restraint system will allow current to flow through the deployment loop to deploy an airbag restraint module. There are 2 shorting bars used in the module connector that will short the high and low circuits together when the connector is disconnected. This helps prevent accidental deployment of the inflatable module during maintenance.
