B0013 CADILLAC Possible Causes
- Faulty steering wheel inflator module
- Faulty steering wheel module coil
- Steering wheel inflator module wiring harness is open or shorted
- Poor electrical connection in the steering wheel inflator module circuit
- Faulty Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)
How to Fix B0013 CADILLAC Code?
Start by checking the “Possible Causes” listed above. Visually inspect the corresponding wiring harness and connectors. Look for damaged components and check for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector pins.

B0013 CADILLAC Meaning
If a malfunction is detected, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be stored in non-volatile memory. During a frontal collision of sufficient force, the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) will allow current to flow through the deployment loop to deploy the steering wheel module. The SDM performs continuous diagnostic tests on the deployment loops to verify proper circuit continuity and shorts to ground or voltage. There are 2 shorting bars used in each connector that will short together the steering wheel module stage 1 high circuit and steering wheel module stage 1 low circuit and steering wheel module stage 2 high circuit and steering wheel module stage 2 low circuit when the connector is disconnected. This helps prevent unwanted deployment of the inflator module during service.
