B0002 MAZDA Meaning

The driver airbag module is dual-stage and is wired to the airbag diagnostic sensor unit via the clock spring. The airbag diagnostic sensor unit will monitor for opens and shorts in the sensed lines to the driver airbag module, including the clock spring. The airbag sensor unit (airbag control module) monitors the driver airbag module. The airbag sensor unit sets the OBDII code when the driver airbag module does not meet factory specifications.
