B0001 DODGE Meaning
When powered on, the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) sends a test current to the squibs to verify the integrity of the squib and wiring. These circuits are maintained in a floating configuration at the ORC (neither connected to power nor ground) as protection against accidental deployment. Use the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) loading tool kit to test and replace a suspected squib with a known good component. Using the SRS loading tool adapter provides a test point as well as a method to open the shorting bar connections in the ORC harness connector.
