The ECO Start/Stop system works to cut off the engine whenever your car is stopped for any duration.
This means that even if you simply stop at a traffic light, the engine will not run, significantly reducing fuel consumption. If you drive a manual transmission, the system works if your speed drops below 8 kilometers per hour (about 5 miles per hour) and you brake after putting your gear lever in neutral.
